How to Respond to Emergency Situation?

The American Heart Association introduced the Out-of-Hospital Chain of Survival [1] in the event of sudden cardiac arrest. 

To increase the chances of survival, a responder has to know the basic links to the chain: emergency response activation, early CPR, defibrillation, advanced resuscitation by EMS, post-cardiac arrest treatment, and recovery.

4. An interactive map will show up, and you will see two types of pins on the map. One will be your location, and the other is the AED icon. You will identify the AED icon by an image of a heart with a thunderbolt inside.
5. Zoom in the nearest one and confirm accessibility. Just to make sure, also check the nearest one in case the first one you saw is mistakenly marked available. Sometimes the establishment is closed, and the pin has not been updated. 
6. As you zoom the nearest one, take note of the location details and head to it at once. AED finders provide directions, so you will not get lost. 
7. Once you reach the nearest defibrillator, be prepared for the voice prompts. Follow the instructions from the voice prompts.
